Lincoln has been quite the sneaky little guy lately. Or at least he has tried. Here are two experiences that just made us laugh.

#1: Lincoln had a bad asthma attack 2 weeks ago, which came from a cold. I had to take him to the Dr. 3 days in a row! After one of the appointments one day, it was lunch time, but we had to go and pick up a prescription, so I first stopped to get him some chicken nuggets (which he LOVES). We usually go to Target to get prescriptions and they always give Lincoln a Dum Dum sucker. As we stood there waiting for a minute for them to grab the prescription, Lincoln asked the pharmacist (politely, might I add...he's good at that) for a sucker. She gave me one and I told him that he needed to eat finish his chicken nuggets first. He grabbed a nugget, held it up to me and said, "Mom, do you want one?"  Ha ha! No, Buddy. YOU eat them.

#2: We were having movie night at the house. Lincoln asked me for a homemade chocolate chip cookie and I gave him one. He had eaten half of his cookie, and then went over to Derick and said, "Daddy, you want a cookie too?" Derick said that he did, so Lincoln came over to me in the kitchen to grab one for him. When he went back over to Derick, he said, "Here you go, Daddy," and tried handing Derick his half-eaten one, instead of the whole one! What a funny little guy!

My brother, Richie, just graduated from Pitt law school. We made one last trip up to Pittsburgh to see them before they left there. I would never want to live in that city, but it's fun to visit.

One of the main reasons for making the trip was to see our new niece, Isla. She is so adorable. Also, Lincoln and Graham are almost exactly one year apart (Lincoln is older). Now that Graham is getting a little bit older and can play better, the two had so much fun playing together. It's so nice for them to have a buddy, and it's so nice for us parents to not have to entertain as much!

Two of the main things that we did while we were there were go to the Pitt zoo (such a good zoo....has all the popular animals and an aquarium, but is still small enough to see everything and not get overwhelmed with kids) and go to the Carnegie Science Center. I have posted pictures of this place before....it's awesome. They have a whole area just for little kids with all kinds of fun things to do. They boys (big and little) were entertained for a long time.

It's really hard to see them (because it's really hard to get a pic of them) but here are penguins. They were so fun to watch.

One of our favorite things at the zoo were the elephants. There were several of them. The baby one gave us a little spray show. Also, we got to go into a small building and watch one getting it's "bath."

At the science center, Derick and Richie had fun building towers withe the huge blocks, and then letting Lincoln and Graham knock them over.

They also had lots of fun playing in the water with all of the ping pong balls.

Back at the house, Lincoln and Graham loved chasing each other and driving cars out on the back deck. We let them run around naked pretty much the whole weekend because it was HOT.

I almost ended the post without even putting a picture of Isla. We let her be naked the whole weekend too. She is so adorable....pictures really don't do her justice.

It was a fun time! Thanks, R,K,G and I for letting us invade your house and keeping us entertained!

Now we just need to visit you in NY!

Mountain Lake (where Dirty Dancing was filmed)

We live about 1/2 hour from Mountain Lake, which as I mentioned in the title of this post, is also the place where Dirty Dancing was filmed, way back when. We needed a little excursion one day, and decided to check it out.

The resort is actually really cool. There is the big, stone hotel, lots of individual cabins, and tons of outdoor activities. The sad part about the site, was that the lake is mostly gone. We later found out that it's due to all of the mining in the area. It's really a shame, because had the lake been full, it would have been such a cool place to stay. I guess it still could be, but the lake would just "make" it. It was still a beautiful wooded area, though. Overall, it was a fun little outing.

Once again, this used to all be the lake. It's pretty sad. But it was still fun to walk around in the area and explore.

Well, it's time to whip it out again! Baby #2 is on the way!

I am due December 6th. We couldn't be more excited! 

We've waited a long time for this little one to come.
