what do you get...

...when you have leave some BBQ pork to cook all night and day, go out of town for the day, and have a crock pot that cooks really hot? This:
Disgusting. I have cooked pork all night and day before, but now that I think about it, it wasn't in my crock pot. And my crock pot cooks really hot, even on the low setting. We took a day trip, and I thought I was doing so well with having dinner prepared for when we got home. We were also feeding the missionaries. Instead, we came home to a burning smell and charcoaled pork. It was so burnt, that I couldn't even clean my crock pot. Trust me, I tried. I had to throw the crock pot away! So we had to whip something else up for the missionaries. I didn't think it was so funny at the time, but now it's pretty amusing. I mean, who burns something so bad in a crock pot that the crock pot has to be thrown away?? I do! I am pretty mad about having to buy a new one, actually, but maybe I can find one that cooks at a normal temperature. Any suggestions?
