ducks and shopping carts

During one of our first days here, we went to to duck pond on campus. We took the remainder of our 99 cent loaf of bread that we ate for dinner in our hotel room to feed to them. These ducks (actually I think most of them are geese) acted like they hadn't eaten for years. They seriously moved in towards us so fast and kept coming. I got a little scared. Derick started yelling at the ducks to get away from us, and it was hilarious because when we were leaving, Lincoln kept turning back around and telling the ducks to get away too.
One thing that Lincoln really loves to do lately is "help" push the shopping cart. The days of my boy sitting so nicely in the cart are over. Well, it's been more difficult to keep him in the cart, anyway.        He always wants to help.

Are you sure those are ducks? They look like Canadian geese to me? Geese are mean!
