Derick and I got called on Sunday to be the CTR 4 teachers in our ward.
Here is why I am excited:
1. We get to teach together! Not many people get to be with their husbands for all of church.
2. It will be better for Lincoln. We don't get to ever go to classes b/c Lincoln is either to grouchy or too active. He is going to LOVE being in a room with other kids. He loves being around kids. I can't wait until nursery. Only 7.5 months to go. he he
3. Little kids that age, no matter how obnoxious, really are adorable.
Here's why I am nervous:
1. I taught the same age group right after we got married. I went home crying every Sunday. They were so hard! I guess I am supposed to learn something, if I am getting put into the same age group. Thank goodness Derick is going to be with me!
2. The Primary President told us on Sunday that we have a lot of "grouches" in our class. Yep. That's what she said. Grouches. Ha! Let's hope we can cheer them up a bit.
We are glad that we finally get to have a calling (I personally haven't had a calling in 2 years). We'll see how it goes! We are excited.

My husband and I were called to co-teach primary. He was called to be the ward Executive Secretary within a month. Enjoy it while you can!
Yipee for being back in Primary!! Ha ha...sometimes I don't have the best attitude about it and it's really hard for me to be there but then I think of their sweet spirits and know that I shouldn't be mad...it's hard tho but rewarding!!
Oh and I meant to comment on your AZ post that it was totally fine that I couldn't watch Lincoln, I was bummed cause I had been planning on but knew that it was best that he was with you guys!! Hopefully we see you guys soon! I'm actually wanting to go to conference in May cause Jeff has never been so maybe we can see you guys then! :)
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one counting down the days...um...okay-MONTHS-until my kiddo goes to nursery!
Kai and I had that same calling together, CTR 4. The lessons go from "Im thankful for my eyes" to "I know Jesus lives" which was a little difficult for me. I felt like most of it was over their heads. But you are right, they are adorable. One sunday I would teach the lesson and Kai would be on behavior control then the next sunday we would switch. It worked out well. Oh and we would also go over our lesson for FHE the week before which was convenient. Any way, have fun!
How fun! Congrats on your new calling! :) Randy and I have been teaching primary together for almost 2 years now, and I love sharing a calling with my husband and getting to spend the entire 3 hours of church with him :) First we taught 9 and 10 year olds, now we are teaching the sunbeams. I love being in primary! You guys will love it! And your kids will Love Lincoln! I bet just having a cute little baby in there will cheer those grouchy kids up! ;) ha ha!
You haven't had a calling in TWO YEARS!!? I know this sounds horrible, but how on earth did you manage that!? I want a two year break!
(Again - totally sounds horrible I know, but this is my thing: I was in the YW Presidency in one ward, moved, then got called right back into the YW Presidency in the new ward (so that was a total of 4 years of mutual), moved, then got called right in to being RS Secretary and we have meetings every Wednesday and visit sisters every Tuesday and I'M EXHAUSTED!! Sometimes I just want to be a mama and go to class without having to have anything prepared).
Well there you have it. I'm sure I'll be struck by lightening any minute now.
I'm glad you guys are excited and I think you will be a great teacher team!
