Lincoln is now officially 2 1/2, although he has seemed like it for a while! He is such a fun boy....I could just go on and on about all of the little things that he does.
We had his Dr. appt last week, and he is still big. No surprise there!
Weight: 42.2 pounds
Height: 40 inches
Head: I can't remember exactly. It was 20-something inches.
He is in the 99th percentile all around. At least he is back on the charts! At his 2-year check-up he was off the charts.
Here are some things that I love about my boy:
1. He is never without some kind of car in his hand. He loves cars, trucks, tractors, trains, and anything else that moves.
2. He is so imaginative. He doesn't have any of the actual "cars" toys (Lightning McQueen, Mater, etc.), but when he sees a car or truck that reminds him of either of those characters, he calls them that. And to him, they really are that. He doesn't need the actual thing to think that he has it. This is just one example of his imagination.
3. He still takes awesome naps. I'm hoping this one lasts for a while.
4. He loves to dance. His version is more like bouncing and jumping, though.
5. He love music, period.
6. He is now potty-trained!! YEA!! Well, there are still some kinks to work out. But he's doing well. More on that later.
7. He has a tender heart. He cares so much about those around him. I hear stories about things that he does and I love them. For example, in nursery, he will help a girl sitting beside him to spread out her napkin on the table for snack time. Last week, at the park, he helped his little friend, Elisa, to climb over a small wall that she was having trouble with.
8. His favorite breakfast is cold cereal. And he doesn't want it with milk. He will either just eat it with his fingers, or he will use a spoon and eat it dry! What a silly guy! He would eat cereal every day (which I don't let him do) but he also loves muffins, pancakes and oatmeal.
9. He LOVES to read.
10. He is smart. And talks so well. I can talk to him just like I would any other person and he understands.
11. He is a good helper (this will come in handy when the baby comes!)
12. He loves to give kisses to baby brother (on my tummy).
13. He makes us laugh, daily, with all of the little quirky things that he does!
14. He LOVES cooked carrots. He eats them like candy. I don't know where he gets that. He actually really loves mixed veggies.
15. He LOVES fruit. All kinds. Lately he has been loving to eat peaches and pears. I usually halve them to get the pit/seeds out, and give him the entire half. He loves eating it that way. And he eats both halves, by the way.
16. At his check-up, the doctor asked him what his favorite food was. He responded with, "cheese crisp." That means a quesadilla, for any of you non-Arizonans.
17. He loves bridges and tunnels. Any time Derick and I prop our legs up, he thinks that we are making him a tunnel and will crawl under them.
18. The other day he said to me, "Let's go to chick-fil-a for lunch." I told him that we weren't going to do that on that day, and so he said, "Ok, let's go to Wendy's." I don't know how he knows all of the fast food chains. We hardly eat at them! Actually, I do know. His memory is A-MA-ZING.
19. He is so like his daddy in so many ways. I can't even begin to list them.
20. He can spot the tiniest of things. He will point out airplanes that are a million miles away, that none of the rest of us would ever notice.
.....this list could go on and on....
We love our Lincoln!
