August

I can't believe how quickly August has come and gone! I can't believe how quickly summer has passed by, for that matter. Just a couple more weeks and baby girl will be here! At my appointment yesterday (Sept 3), I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. Her head was also at a -1. 3 cm is the most I have ever progressed on my own, which I know might not mean much, but maybe it will. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Another 2 weeks+ of pregnancy doesn't sound fun to me. I'm pretty much at my physical limit!

Anyway, back to August:

Lincoln did swimming lessons.
He was so excited to get on the diving board. Then when he did, he was terrified. Then a lifeguard helped him jump in, and then he wanted to do it again! Then he got back on and was terrified again. Crazy kid!
Some visits to campus and the duck pond.
The boys were drawing with chalk one day when we were doing yard work. Lincoln drew this boat. It was so good!
This is Bennett's face when he makes a fire engine sound.
Baby girl at my 36 week appointment! She was weighing in at 6 pounds, 11 oz already, which was about the 60th percentile.
This cheapo pool has gotten some good use this summer.
A little bit of this....never fun. But look at how cute he is. He smiled for the picture.
We were trying on soccer cleats with Lincoln at Dick's. Bennett wanted to try them on, too. This picture makes it look like these actually fit him, but they don't. They were size 13 and were huge. His smile cracks us up. Derick says he looks like the Grinch. Love this little boy.
Our friend, Neely, snapped this picture of Lincoln eating watermelon at our ward picnic. Ha! He was such a mess after that slice.
The boys got in trouble and had to stand and hug for like 5 minutes. I was dying laughing.
