We had a fun turkey day. We ended up eating with a couple of friends (thanks, guys!). Derick and I both enjoyed cooking the night before and day of. Derick tackled the turkey (which was so YUMMY) and I made pies, including my first-ever, completely from scratch apple pie, complete with a lattice crust. It turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Our little fam in our warm and cozy sweaters (We already had these, but I love how we coordinate without planning it and they are all fallish in color).
Lincoln with his Thanksgiving feast. He ate really well, so.....
...he got to have pumpkin pie for dessert.
Lincoln has been pulling up on everything for a little while now. I love going in to his room to get him when he is standing up waiting for me. He is upset in this pic because I am taking the pic and not getting him out. HA! Most of the time, however, he is totally happy when we go in to get him and I just think it's adorable how he just stands there, looking at the door, anticipating the minute when we will enter the room.
Happy dude.
We have been lucky. For some reason, Lincoln doesn't care too much about the Christmas tree or the gifts. He ignores them most of the time. Occasionally, however, he will make his way over.
He ripped one of his gifts. Here's a sneaky peek.
Lincoln has been lovin' the laundry basket lately. He likes to take rides around the living room in it. And I think that this pic is hilarious because he is just chillin' with his blanket in his mouth.
I have thought that Lincoln has been teething for like a month now. I have been expecting to find the two top ones coming in, but they haven't made their debut yet. We will see if it happens soon though. Lincoln has been a little slobbery monster for a few weeks. If you look closely at this pic you can see a string of drool from his mouth to the laundry basket. Ha ha ha.
Snuggling with Daddy.
It has snowed a couple of times in the last few days. Here's what we woke up to this morning.
BRRRRRRR
Also, guess what we are doing next week? Derick has to take a business trip to NYC, and Lincoln and I get to go with him! Derick and I have each been on our own, so now it will be fun to take Lincoln. Plus, Derick has been taking so many business trips lately that I am excited to be able to join him on this one and not have to stay home! Can't wait!

gosh it was the same thing with Collin! I swore he was teething for like 5 months! He finally broke his first teeth I think a week before his 7 month mark (I'll have to go back and check my records :) ha ha). And they have always come in pairs. He always gets two together. Maybe Linc will be the same. But they always say, the longer they take to come through, the healthier the teeth are! :) (of course that could be an old wives tale....who knows?....but I like to believe it since Collin just finally got his 7th tooth and will be 16 months old on Thursday)
Hey, Jon here. That boy is one handsome dude!
You guys are so festive! Love the sweaters! Mikakyla just got her 6th tooth, but still refuses to crawl. Funny how they are all so different. That snow looks AWFUL! We are setting 10 year records for a low here...it's supposed to be 24 tonight and we all think we are dying! :)
Glad you guys had a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm happy to say that so far this year Madden isn't too interested in our tree or presents either, and I'm actually kinda surprised! :)
I'm so jealous you guys are taking a trip to NYC! How fun! I can't wait to see pics and hear all about it on the blog! ;) Have fun!
