busy weekend and a big new toy

We had a yard sale this last weekend. Derick's parents were able to get rid of quite a bit of stuff. Lincoln was thrilled with the fact that he got to be outside a ton.

Here he is playing with some of the yard animal decorations that were for sale.
He was pretty fond of the squirrel.

Derick's dad had an old dune buggy for sale. I took Lincoln down to see it and he thought it was so cool to be able to "drive" the car.

Hanging out with Daddy. Derick was traumatized by Lincoln wanting to play with the pearl necklaces that you see around his neck. I was like, "Hey, whatever keeps him entertained!"

3 Generations.

The coolest part of the weekend was getting this big play set. We had been wanting to get one to add to the fun things for Lincoln to do outside. A couple of weeks ago when we went yard-saling, we were looking for something like this, but didn't find anything. During the drive, we happened to drive by a house that had one sitting in the front yard. I jokingly make a comment about how we should see if we could buy it from the owners. Derick's dad decided to go and ask them about it because it looked like it hadn't been played on recently. It turned out that they were wanting to get rid of it and weren't sure what to do with it. They took down our name and number and said they would call us. On Saturday (2 weeks later) they called. They not only said that we could have it, but they said they would give it to us for FREE! Plus, they were going to deliver it! How amazingly nice is that???? People just don't do things like that anymore. And here's the kicker....their son that they bought if for is named Lincoln! How crazy is that? So anyway, we got an amazing, FREE yard toy for Lincoln to play on and he loves it. Awesome.

Man that is a fun 3 generation picture! Any luck with the yard sale? That's great. Man I'm excited for lincoln with his play set! now all he needs is to be able to slide directly into his sand box and make a royal mess! his mom would Love that I'm sure. :) What I'm really wondering though is when are you guys going to find an amazing deal on a semi truck at a yard sale up there in Prescott? Cause after Papa has enough time with you, you know he's going to find enough amazing treasures for you to fill it!

What a great deal! (Can't beat free!!) And I LOVE that picture of Lincoln "driving" the dune buggy. ha ha his little hat is tipped up and he's just looking forward like he's got a serious driving job to do. ha ha so cute!

And if Derick is traumatized by the pearl necklaces, he should see Collin walk down our hall wearing my shoes and carrying my makeup bag like a purse. But then a second later he'll be kicking a soccer ball down the hall. They just can't help but imitate their mamas! I mean they see us all day long and think everything we do is cool! :)

Ok, you guys win the amazing deal of the century on that play set!!! Can't wait to come play on it. How fun!!! Absolutely love the picture of the guys, Precious :o)

Oh and Derick can't be upset about the pearl necklaces. Just remind him that we have pictures of him dressed up in a dress and hat pretending to be Darla from The Little Rascals and he was like 8!!! Totally made me laugh!

Wow! That is so great you got that for free! Tell Derrick that Emmett's favorite color is hot pink if that will make him feel better about the necklaces. :)
